Well known as the longest chapter in the bible, Psalm 119 is one of the acrostics. However, unlike other acrostics, which contain only one verse for each of the 22 Hebrew letters, this celebrated Psalm includes 8 verses for each letter, making it a total of 176 verses. 聖經中最長的一章是詩篇119篇已是眾所周知，而它亦以離合體詩之一為著名。然而，它卻與其他離合體詩有大不相同之處。主要原因是其他的離合體詩只按照希伯來文的22個字母寫成 22 節經文，換句話說，是每一個字母一節經文。但這首著名的詩篇，卻是用每一個字母寫出 8 節經文，使其成為一共有 176 節。因此，整篇詩篇共有 22 段，每段皆含 8 節經文，都是以同一個希伯來字母為開頭。
