「耶和華本為大、在我們　神的城中、在他的聖山上、該受大讚美。
錫安山、大君王的城、在北面居高華美、為全地所喜悅。
神在其宮中自顯為避難所。」（詩 48：1-3）

「因為這　神永永遠遠為我們的　神，他必作我們引路的、直到死時。」（詩 48：14）

Verse 1
 Great is the Lord our God,
and greatly to be praised.
Upon a hill God's city stands
in glorious beauty raised -
His holy mountain high,
the city of our King.
The joy of all the earth below.
In praise to God we sing.
 耶和華是大君，
應該大得稱讚。
城在聖山屹立共建，
光輝美麗榮華。
至聖山崗聳高，
我眾君王城邑。
世間所有歡呼讚歌，
一起獻上頌揚。

Verse 2
 God makes His city strong
by living in her halls.
When kings join forces and advance,
they marvel at her walls.
God scatters those around
whose pride makes them so sure.
As we have heard, so have we seen;
God's city is secure.
 神城榮耀立穩，
皆因主居宮中。
每當眾君結合入侵，
感到驚訝膽喪。
主將敵人潰散，
驕兵本以為精。
就所聽見，今也看到：
恩主穩固聖城。

Verse 3
 Within Your temple, Lord,
in Your most holy place,
We on Your loving kindness dwell,
the wonders of Your grace.
Your people sing Your praise
wherever Your name is known;
By every deed Your hand has done
Your righteousness is shown.
 身處神殿內，主，
於祢最聖潔地，
我眾居於祢恩愛中，
享祢恩典驚喜。
信眾讚頌同聲，
到處彰祢名聲。
藉主祢手所作奇事，
主祢正義彰顯。

Verse 4
 Let Zion now rejoice
and all her people sing;
Let them with thankfulness
proclaim the judgments of their King.
Mount Zion's walls behold,
about her ramparts go,
And number all the lofty towers
that guard her from the foe.
 同來遊歷錫安，
主子民今高唱。
萬眾一心獻上感恩，
宣告君王終決。
看厚牆護錫安，
可抵禦敵人侵，
去數算所有高望塔，
保障遠離敵人。

Verse 5
 Observe her palaces,
mark her defenses well,
That to the children following you
her glories you may tell.
For God as our own
God forever will abide,
And till life's journey close in death
will be our faithful guide.
 細看眾殿外觀，
堅固確保安穩，
傳遞信息世代得知，
聖殿今日光輝。
因主作我們主，
千載萬代同在，
直到旅程終結至死，
主信實將恩領。
