Verse 1	帶耶穌出去的時候，他們抓住了一個人，叫古利奈人西門，恰好從鄉下來；就把十架擱在他身上，背著跟隨在耶穌後面。有許多百姓跟隨耶穌，內中有婦女們為他號咷痛哭。另外還有兩個犯人，和耶穌一同帶去處死。到了一個地方名叫髑髏地，便把耶穌釘在十字架上，又釘了兩個犯人：一個在左邊，一個在右邊。當下耶穌說：父阿！赦免他們；因他們所做的，他們不曉得。兵丁就拈鬮分他的衣服。百姓站在那裡觀看。官府們也嗤笑耶穌，說：他救了別人，也可救自己！若他是基督，神所揀選的。兵丁們也戲弄他，上前拿些酸酒送給他喝，說：你若是猶太人的王，救自己罷！在耶穌以上有一個牌子寫著說：這是猶太人的王。那同釘的兩個犯人有一個譏誚他說：你若是基督，救自己和我們罷！那一個就應聲責備，說：你既是一樣受刑，難道不怕上帝麼？我們是應該的，因我們受的與所做的相稱，但他沒有做過壞事。就對耶穌說：主阿，你得國的時候，求你記念我！耶穌對他說：我實在告訴你，今日你要同我在樂園裡了。那時大約是正午，黑暗籠罩了整個大地一直到申初，日頭也變黑了；殿裡的幔子從當中裂為兩半。耶穌大聲喊著說：父阿，我將我的靈魂交在你手。說了這話，氣就斷了。約瑟就取下來，用細麻布裹好，安放在石頭鑿成的墳墓；那裡從來沒有葬過人。	Now as they led Je-sus a-way, They laid hold of a cer-tain man, Si-mon a Cy-re-ni-an, Com-ing from the coun-try, And on him they laid the rug-ged cross That he might bear it af-ter Je-sus. A great crowd of peo-ple fol-lowed Him. And wo-men who al-so mourned and la-ment-ed Him. Two o-ther men, both mal-fact-ors, Led with Je-sus to be put to death. When they had come to the place called Cal-var-y, There they cru-ci-fied Je-sus to the cross, And two mal-fac-tors al-so, One on His right, the o-ther on His left. Then Je-sus said, “Ab-ba Fa-ther, for-give them, Be-cause they do not know what they are do-ing.” They di-vid-ed His gar-ments and cast lots. And the peo-ple stood look-ing on. E'en the rul-ers with them sneered, say-ing, “He saved o-thers; let Him save Him-self if He is the Christ of God, His cho-sen One!” The sol-diers al-so mocked Him, Com-ing and of-fer-ing Him sour wine, say-ing, “If You are the King of the Jews, then save Your-self.” And an ins-crip-tion al-so was writ-ten o-ver Him, This is the King of the Jews. Then one of the mal-fact-ors who were hanged blas-phemed Him, say-ing, “If You are the Christ, why not save Your-self and us.” But the o-ther re-buked him, say-ing, “You are in the same judg-ment, Do you not e-ven fear God?” And we in-deed just-ly, For we re-ceive the due re-ward of our deeds; But this Man has done no-thing wrong.” Then said to Je-sus, “Lord, re-mem-ber me when You come in-to Your king-dom.” Je-sus said to him, “Tru-ly I say to you, To-day you will be with Me in Pa-ra-dise.” Now it was 'bout the sixth hour, And there was dark-ness o'er all the earth un-til the ninth hour. Then the sun was dark-ened, And the veil of the tem-ple was rent in the midst. Je-sus cried with a loud voice, “Fa-ther, In-to Your Hands I com-mend My Spir-it.” Hav-ing said this, He breathed His last. Then Jo-seph took it down, Wrapped it in lin-en cloth, And placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, One in which no one had yet been laid.
